Phenolic composites are produced by impregnating layers of paper, cotton fabric, or glass cloth with phenolic resin, then heat-pressing into rigid, dimensionally stable sheets, rods, and tubes. The result is a lightweight, machinable insulation material with excellent mechanical strength and electrical integrity.
